Body Integrity Identity Disorder or also known as the Amputee Identity Disorder is a psychological disorder that makes the person that has it feel that some parts of his/her body is horrendous. Even though the person is perfectly normal in normal person eye, however in their eye the part of their body is ugly.

For normal people in order to know what going on in the BIID person eye should put themselves with additional limbs. Imagine yourself has three arms or three legs, how’s that make you feel?

You feel that you have extra limbs that makes you unhappy doesn’t it? Well, it is what going on in their mind.

So what cause it?

Scientist still not 100% sure what causes it. One theory suggest that a child that see an amputee person may imprint in the head that those are the perfect body looks like. Another theory suggest that they lack of affection and by becoming an amputee they will attract affection and love. There is also a theory that suggest it is neuro-psychological condition where there is an anomaly in the cerebral cortex relating to the limbs
