Is It Bad To Take Antibiotics If You Don’t Need It?

My parents usually recommend antibiotics every time I got sick even without any doctor prescription for it. I know what it do and that it can kill bacteria in your body, but sometime I always question myself if it is bad to take antibiotics when you don’t need it? I know some of my disease probably doesn’t need it, but I take it anyway to make the healing progress faster or so I thought.

So what could happen anyway if you take antibiotics? I know there are many good bacteria in our body so can it kill good bacteria inside your body?  Yes. It gonna kill bad and good bacteria. If you’re not sick then taking it would only worsen your health and that’s not the worst part.

The worst part that could happen is that you could give immunity for the bacteria. You know how vacciness work right? You are given a weak dose of the disease that you want to immune with and this work the same for the bacteria. That’s why most doctor recommend that if you take antibiotics you need to take it down to the last prescription because if you don’t then there could be some small bacteria that develop immune system to the antibiotics and thus make them a super bacteria. It won’t only affect you the super germ can also be transfered through air, touch, or saliva to other peoples like your  friends or family and thus makes them in danger because the bacteria is now harder to kill.

That is what happen when you not properly take the medicine, but what about when you don’t need it in the first place which mean there are no bad bacteria inside the body and thus no bad bacteria no super bacteria right? If you are a psychic who know that you are zero free from bad germs then sure it’s alright, but remember that there are ten of thousands of bacteria inside our body and some of them are bad. Why take the chances and stop taking one when you don’t need it. Right now, I’m only taking it when I’m sick pretty bad.
