How To Be Confident
Becoming confident with yourself is not about something that you have or not, it is a habit. You might be that shy little fat kid who just want to be accepted but keep shun away by everyone and through time your confidence is keep shrinking. Suddenly you are a grown up person, but still you don’t have the confidence that you should have.
I believe that confidence is in the most fragile moment when we are a teenager, because we just want to blend with the society. If the society doesn’t accept then your confidence is going to shrink. So how do we get our confidence back?
First of all, teen and adult society is two very different things. What happen in teen society doesn’t apply in the adult society. Its a whole different game. What matter in the adult world is your personality, credibility and your work.
I have many shy friends that I know back in high school that has zero confidence in themselves, but through time and doing the right things they grow their courage. What is the right thing to grow confidence? One of my friend work as a marketing in a bank which mean in one day she need to talk to bunch of stranger offering the products.
After one year doing that, she has more confidence that I have in 10 years. She would go every strange places, able to talk to stranger, and able to talk with confidence. If you have seen her when she was in high school you would never know that person, it’s like two different people.
So the key to get your confidence is to push yourself doing things that you scared of. Go talk in public often or go talk to that girl you always like. Confidence is not going to come overnight because it is a habit and like any other habit, you can get it only by doing it often.
