Can You Be Allergic To Sugar
No. Its not possible.
Allergies can only happen to protein, the immune system found foreign protein in the system and try to fight it thus came the allergies. Sugar is not a protein, sugar is simple carbohydrate and our body need carbohydrate to live. If you have allergies to sugar then you would probably be dead since you were born due to the allergies from carbohydrate, which’s not possible.
So what’s all the fuss about people who can’t eat anything sweet? There are some explanation that could lead them to think that they are allergic to sugar.
They don’t know exactly what they allergic to. They ate chocolate, cake, or donut and they vomit and suddenly they claim that they are allergic to sugar. There are many possibilities that you are allergic to one of the component of the food beside sugar. They also could be allergic to pollen for honey.
What about lactose intolerance then? Lactose is sugar term for milk and there are people who can’t eat them so they are allergic to sugar right? Lactose intolerance can cause someone to have diarrhea, nausea, bloating, and abdominal pain, but all of these are cause due to the body incapability to break down the lactose. It is not caused by the immune system, but the lack of enzym lactase in the digestion system.
