Healthy Tips For Eating Out

For those of you who want to eating out, but still want to eat healthy here are some tips for you:
- Plan your restaurant early. Not many restaurant has healthy food menu in it. Pick restaurant with lots of menu in it, as they tend to have healthy foods in the menu.
- Plan your meal first to get the healthiest food choice, or you might get tempted when you see the menu with its yummy picture.
- Stay away from junk foods. Restaurant with mascot is probably a bad idea.
- If you are eating steak, make sure that you order the steak to be rare. Well done steak is considered carcinogen. If you don’t want to get cancer, stay away from well done steak.
- Avoid soda drinks. Soda drinks are linked to weight gain and also it has Aspartame in it. Drink wine can be beneficial if taken moderately. Water or juice is much more preferable.
- Less salt is beneficial. We only need to consume sodium around one tablespoon of salt per day, more than that then we are in risk of heart disease in the future. Some example of foods that are high in sodium/salt are: onion soup, potato salad, tunafish salad, egg bagels, macaroni and cheese, and pizza.
- Avoid foods that has msg in it. Msg can cause headaches, diarrhea, bloated, chest pain, rashes, and it can also make you stupid. Contrary to main believe, Mgs consumption in Western countries are much higher than the consumption in the Asian countries.
- Eat in small portion. It would help you enjoy your meal more and also help you control your calorie intake. Your brain need time to realize that its full and by eating small portion you’ll give it time.
