So guys, do you wonder if weight has anything to do with sperm count? The answer is yes and I’m not talking only about overweight people but also underweight people.

Overweight: Atlanta’s Reproductive Biology Associates study 500 overweight men to examine whether overweight people has lower sperm count or not. The study show that people with BMI larger than 30 has lower sperm count and it is so low that it won’t be enough to fertilize an egg. Even if it is lucky enough to fertilize egg the chances that it would lead to miscarriage is still high due to poor sperm quality.

Underweight: For those who are underweight which are people with BMI less than 19, underweight is believed to affect sperm count because it is linked to hormonal imbalances, as well as malnutrition.
