Best Food For Cough

So what food you should take when you have cough and what food to avoid? This is based on my experience and I have tried them all so I pretty much know which one makes my cough worse and which one soothe my cough.
Here are the list of best foods for cough: chicken soup, chicken noodle soup, porridge, scrambled egg, jello, applesauce, hot tea, tea with honey,tomato soup, hot orange juice, oatmeal, ginger ale, and any type of warm soup.
And here are the list of foods to avoid when you have cough: spicy food, dairy product like milk and ice cream, coffee or any other caffeine drink, deep fried food such as fried chicken or french fries.
