Concentration is all about habit, if you lack to concentrate since you were little then the odds are you probably having difficulty on concentrate right now. But not to worry because you can learn to concentrate…
Concentrate is about habit the more you practice the better you will be, so if you really hard to concentrate right now then you need to force it and do it everyday, until you are comfortable to force yourself. And also apply these helpful tips:
Make a to do list:
In order to concentrate, you need to know what activities you want to do next. If you want to concentrate on reading then you need to make a to do list on how many pages or how many chapter you want to read. However, don’t make a to do list with a time frame, because people with time frame to do list don’t make it on time and that would make you feel like a loser for not completing a task on time. Just make a to do list, do it, and take your time.
Do Less:
To concentrate you need to clear all the thing you need to do that day. In one single day you probably have 10 or 12 thing that you need to do, but instead of thinking on how to do it all, you get rid of it all. Focus on the thing that you really want to do. Apply three task per day, so from 10 task you need to reduce it to three. After you finish three thing then you can do the rest if there are time.
Throw away temptation:
From my experience, I know that there are temptation everywhere around us. Whenever we start to concentrate doing things, there is always something. A click to Facebook that would lead to an hour of time wasted, Twittering, some snack probably, oh that TV show is about to start, my kids is crying again, etc. You need to know how to get rid of these temptation. Plug off the internet cable, sell the TV, lock the refrigerator, and hire a nanny is one way to get rid of that temptation.
Perfect Timing?
There is no such thing as perfect time to concentrate. You probably waiting for that air to cool down because it is too hot and too hard to concentrate or you might want to wait for the mind to stop wondering, but the truth is, it won’t help you concentrate. The best time to concentrate is right now and this very moment. Because the air would probably need hours to cool down and at that time you probably too tired to do anything. You might want to have your mind in focus but there are always new things that come by in a day that make your mind wonder off. So there is no better time to concentrate than now.
All 4 thing above is just a tips, the main thing about how to concentrate is habits. You need to learn to concentrate by doing it every single day.
