Got Scratched by your Pet Cat? Beware…

Generally people don’t take seriously when they are being scratched by their pet cat, but they should… being scratched by your cat can give you disease called the cat scratch disease. This disease can cause you to fever, chills, malaise, headache, and anorexia.

For adult, this disease is not too dangerous because of the better adult immune system, but for small child, this could be serious because the probability for the child get infected is high. So you want to make sure that you kid is safe from cat scratch.

Cat scratch disease is more common to transmit through kitten than from an adult cats.

The Symptom of this disease is: A blister or a small bump that shows up couple of days after the scratch or bite and may be mistaken for a bug bite. After a couple of weeks, one or more lymph nodes close to the area of the inoculation lesion will swell and become tender.

The mortality rate from this disease is small… because you need to have extra rare chance that the disease would infect your inside body.

The treatment is by using antibiotics, and you should go to the doctor if you show the symptom. Anyway, be careful to watch your kid so the kid does not to play with kitten.
